The variant I heard this morning is that the majority of the American people want higher taxes on the rich. (The rich being defined as anyone who makes more money than I do.)

This, coming from someone who hasn't even produced a budget plan. He's done everything in his power to push this up against a "deadline" in order to manufacture a crisis and call it an "armageddon". His goal has always been to scare the American people and force them to submit to his will. Substitute "I" for "we" in the above sentences and you're closer to the truth.

No big surprise. A communist atheist coke abuser 'end justifies the means' person who wants to destroy American capitalism and 'colonialism'. We're on to Obama's blatant socialist/communist agenda. Even if what Obama claims were true, it’s against every principle of justice and morality to harm a minority group because the majority wants to do so. Those wanting higher taxes want to impose them on a minority group, not on themselves.

Why the change in poll results from last year? Last year NO-ONE was talking about cutting entitlements and relating taxes to cuts in those. Now when ya talk about protecting medicare from cuts, the polls on raising taxes look difference.

Deficit reduction is tough business, deficit creation is the party.
