“This was forced on the people of NY. No one got to vote, and it’s their state.”

But they did vote for it when they voted for officials that said they were in favor of homosexual marriage. I don’t mean to be a hard-@$$ about it but people need to remember that when you vote for a representative you are voting for all the votes you think they will cast. There are long term consequences to a 90% re-election rate.

Not true! From the Wall Street Journal ...

Meanwhile, the four Republicans who voted for gay marriage all told voters in their election campaign they opposed gay marriage—sometimes on video less than a month before they flipped. Voters don't like politicians who flip, especially under political pressure from Democrats.

New York's GOP Lets Down the Base

ALL of them assured their voter base that they would oppose ssm. ALL flip flopped. If it happens in NY, it can happen anywhere. Follow the money trail.
