“I don’t see how investigating invasions of privacy by hacking phones is an attack on the First Amendment.”

Apparently, there are those here who believe that the First Amendment permits reporters to break into your home, your email, your voice mail and your medical records.

As I recall, some jerk is sitting in prison for hacking Sarah Palin’s email account, but now people wish to condone the hacking of 9/12 Victim’s voice mails.
