As Sarah Palin and Rick Perry wrestle with whether to join the 2012 GOP presidential field, Michele Bachmann is surging, a new poll said Wednesday. Palin and Perrys Hamlet turn has created an opening for Bachmann, who, according to a poll conducted by Quinnipiac University, now stands second to Mitt Romney among registered voters nationally.

Just wait til Gov Palin busts onto the scene. You think there’s been media attention on her in the past - you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet. It’s gonna be a wild ride and completely unconventional. The others don’t stand a chance - especially Bachmann.
I saw that poll. It’s insane. I don’t know their methodology, but it shows obama beating every single pubbie by 5 or more points.
I thin Sarah needs to do what she's been doing the past few years, speaking out on the issues and doing her most important job-finishing raising her family. She's still very young-her time can come later. Right now it's Bachmann who seems to be the one leading the fight.
I’d say three of the four candidates at double digits have a chance at the nomination—and Bachmann is the one who doesn’t. Zip. Zero. Nada.
You ARE kidding, right? A Kellogg’s cornflake could have beaten carter.
Odd article. No mention of the other tea party candidates in the race. Palin and Perry were in the first sentence. No Cain, Paul, Santorum, Gingrich. They mentioned the other establishment candidates, Pawlenty and Huntsman. We can see who the LA Times likes.
Patience Grasshopper. Patience. She will strike when the time is right. She's waiting to see the whites of their eyes. (And for the statute of limitations to run out on the suits in AK).
Have you ever written anything here about the Obama lack of executive experience? Bachmann has none, just like Obama. We need a tested leader at this juncture. The buck has never once stopped with Bachmann. She is a voter, not a leader of men. Michelle is young, too. Maybe she should get some executive experience first, then run for President.
Reagan announced less than a year before the election.
The problem is Obama is not going to be as easy to beat as Carter.
carter was white. A terrible disadvantage with obama voters.
The final nail in Carter's coffin was the aborted hostage rescue attempt six months before the election. Gunrunner will gain a ton of traction way before next April. Bank on it. Obama is a lame duck as we speak.
Yeah, I like her though. I’d happily vote for her in Nov 12.
I hate Perry. Time to start hitting him hard.
Hey org.whodat. You are my favorite PDSer. Why don’t we make it interesting. If Gov Palin definitively says she’s not going to run I’ll donate $100 to FR. If she does announce her candidacy, you donate $100 to FR. That seem fair? This way we’re both putting our money where our mouth is. You in?
SNL will crush Bachmann and everyone will be begging for Palin, unless Palin gets in before that.
You'd think the Gunrunner would have an effect, but Big Media is going to pour soothing syrup all over that and it wont get the attention it should. The Republican candidate is going to have to run a strong campaign to overcome the way the cards will be dealt.
Gunrunner is just getting warmed up. As soon as these MSM idiots smell a Pulitzer, they’ll throw Obama under the bus. And don’t discount the British press. They do the work our MSM won’t do until they see the Brits embarrassing them.
