Good idea, but it won't get past Reid and the Senate. This is the big problem of not controlling both the House and the Senate.
Maybe not, but it still puts the monkey on the back of the dims.
Then it is still Reid and the Democrats problem. Besides, I don’t think Reid can hold his troops in line - too many incumbent RATS from red states facing electoral defeat next year; they ain’t gonna let Reid stop SS checks.
But if the House passes a bill, and the Senate refuses to act on it or pass an alternative of their own, whose fault will any crackup be? We know who the media will blame, but will the public buy it?
Gutting the EPA and the Dept of Ed etc etc.
Bills specifying cuts in government spending where there are redundancies. And where there are areas of unnecessary spending.
And areas of un-Constitutional spending.
So if the Senate doesn't pass them, let it be on them.
If they let some slip by and pass them, let it be on Obama to veto them.
Our government is supposed to be based on Constitutional principles. Let the Congress write bills based on that.
The House seems to only want to write bills that appease the leftists. And the leftists don't want to compromise, only want the Republicans to.
It's time to take a stand. A Tea Party Movement stand.
The house has already passed a budget - which is dead-on-arrival because of the senate. Whatever the outcome - it has to be a “deal” which both sides are going to find dis-tasteful. Both need to give - but what is going to be the successful formula?
What I hate to do here is defend BO - but the fact is that the Republicans have got up and left a few times too. We just focus on what makes BO look bad and wear blinders when our side does.
