Amen to that.
McConnell’s Compromise boils down to one thing — the Republicans who support it want big government every bit as much as the Democrats do. Unfortunately, they realize that they depend on us conservatives to put them in office. At the end of the day, they want to be able to raise the debt ceiling AND convince us that they haven’t betrayed our core values.
It’s called having your cake and eating it too. That’s what McConnell is trying to do and it’s just plain insulting. I personally will consider any Republican who votes to give Obama this authority as having voted directly to raise the debt ceiling.
I don’t care if the McConnell plan has political merit or not. He deliberately, stupidly undermined his own base and his counterparts in the House and caught them unawares.
The MSM is having a field day exploiting this GOP fracture, and he has set up the House to be blamed for any default and any shutdown.
A 10-year old could do a better job in project management, and I am livid.
Granting Obama that power is a million times worse that voting to increase the debt limit themselves. Obama has too many powers and if you grant that power to him even on a temporary basis, that will set a really really really really bad precedent.
McConnell is worse than a blithering idiot. He is a tool of the socialists. For even considering this fool hardy idea, he needs to be removed as Minority Leader.
Yes, this is The Racket. And how many think Carly will be soliciting to repeal Vampire-Care?
What it means is:
Most of them all on both sides are incapable of solving this crisis, because forr decades, both parties have created the crisis.
Only a complete turnover of these hacks can save this country
