Republican Craig Huey has a chance to pull off an upset election if enough registered republicans get to the polls.
For the record:
JANICE HAHN DEM 22,736 54.08
CRAIG HUEY REP 19,303 45.92
TOTAL PRECINCTS 261 PRECINCTS REPORTING 27 10.34%
REGISTRATION 342,492
Rats appear to infest the district
Yes, apparently...and the spread is widening to nearly 5,000 votes now:
JANICE HAHN DEM 24,821 55.41%
CRAIG HUEY REP 19,976 44.59%
TOTAL PRECINCTS 261 PRECINCTS REPORTING 54 20.69%
TX. I could not imagine anyone but a RAT winning in a RAT infested zone. D-Con might help. Or Roach Proof. The poor 45% should try to escape.
Though that last 10% of the precincts had to be very heavily Democrat. Hahn got over 2,000 votes and Huey less than 500, so less than 20% went Republican. About 2500 votes in 10% of the precincts would imply only 25,000 total votes though, which sounds low.
Maybe the big Dem areas have low turnout? With almost 340,000 voters registered, 10% of the precincts should have a total of about 34,000 voters, yet only 2,500 voted in some heavily Democratic ones?
Of course, I’m just inferring that from totals...easy to miss things doing it that way, as I’ve learned in the past...many times.
Only about 50,000 people voted in the May primary.
Pathetically low turnout.

I know. It seems late for results. Maybe the RATS are jiggering. I thought California was most all RAT territory.

This looks bad because the margin for Hahn has increased to nearly 6,000 votes, but again these were heavily Dem precincts, another 9% or so, and again, only about 2200 votes cast in total. Maybe most of the votes were mailed in?
Yeah - my precinct is always empty. I think more than half are absentee, usually. Perhaps a whole lot more than that.
Given that only 50K voted in the May primary, I don’t think Huey is going to be able to make up for that 6K difference. What a shame.
Time for bed.
I was hoping you’d take my place...*s*

Hahn now has a 7,300 vote margin, still widening
Hahn is a Moron, but it really doesn't matter.
When it comes to Democrat Voters, you really can't fix stupid.
BTW - I have no illusions regarding the 2012 Presidential Election. Obama winning reelection wouldn't surprise me at all. This Country is full or uninformed Sheeple.
Still a lot of heavily-Democrat precincts being reported though. In the last 20% of precincts Hahn got about 4100 votes to only 2600 for Huey. Do the mail-in votes tend to be a lot heavier Republican than the walk-in votes usually?
Interestingly though, this time 20% of the precincts yielded around 6,700 votes, versus the 5,000 rate the earlier, even more heavily Dem, precincts were yielding. This could indicate that Republican turnout rate is significantly higher than Dem turnout today. Of course it has to be to have any chance at all.
There were 76,221 voters or 22% turn out total.
Almost 67,000 voted Republican in the district back in November 2010, more than enough to have put Huey over the top but they just didn't show up despite a month to cast their ballots.
If there's a positive take away, the margin was only 9% which seems low given the registration advantage, name recognition, financial backing, union support, family dynasty, voting patterns and other factors all in Hahn's favor.
Good for Craig Huey. Shame on no-show GOP voters! Shame on those who voted to expand the Hahn dynasty into Congress directly or by apathetic acquiescence.
The district has gone Dem 3 to 1, or better, in recent cycles.

It’s clear from the results, the raw numbers were there to stop Hahn but would-be Huey voters took your surrender-monkey attitude rather than cast ballots.
Los Angeles is lost and has been for years. You may think the numbers were there, but the results show you were wrong.
Sorry, I'm not a surrender monkey, I'm a realist monkey.
Monkey, is that racist? LOL
