The Ruger Mini-14 is cheaper, less expensive to feed and, at those ranges, more than adequate.
I like the mini-14 in the wood stock. I figure if anything goes really wrong, one or two hundred yards is going to be the most range you will need for accuracy and maybe “minute of man” there aftrer.
