Can someone please help me understand this? Isn’t Social Security funded separately? I thought the SS fund had a large surplus right now sitting in Al Gore’s lockbox? Why would SS checks be in jeopardy?

I don’t know why he can’t make a temporary deal...!? This guy is far too partisan for his own good. If he moderated just a bit of his stances I wouldn’t think of voting just against him, but he’s getting me to that point.
