Are you for banning alcohol and tobacco? I don’t know anyone who did not experiment with these drugs before moving on to marijuana and harder drugs.
Also, by the same logic, I assume that you are a supporter of the ban on incandescent light bulbs. I don’t know anyone who used drugs who did not have incandescent light bulbs in their homes.

We have very strict alcohol laws. 90% of my cities income comes from DUI busts. They also send in underage kids into various restaurants to buy booze in order to bust restaurants. In Las Vegas I was carded every time I bought alcohol and I'm 28.
Your rebuttal will be drunk drivers killing people and I take that argument however you cannot argue that alcohol is the same as something that can kill you instantly like ecstasy.
Trust me, I didn't have a lily white childhood. I hung out with the wrong crowd and each and every one of them went directly from pot to heavier drugs.

Look at the crime related to drugs!!! Remember a few weeks ago a guy went and blasted away people on Long Island in order to rob a pharmacy?
I would assumed that drug deaths compared to alcohol deaths would be extremely higher.
Exclude DUI for one second. I know some folks have died from alcohol, however I know for a fact that more people have overdosed on drugs than on alcohol.
Of course I am against an overreaching government.
