EL-ARISH, Egypt Masked gunmen on Tuesday blew up a terminal of the Egyptian natural gas pipeline to Israel and Jordan in a predawn attack, security officials said.
They said the attack was carried out by at least four assailants. The terminal is located at the city of El-Arish in the northern part of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula some 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of the Israeli border.
The attackers ordered the guards on duty to leave and then blew up the terminal, starting a huge fire that sent flames shooting up and lighting the night sky, according to the officials. There were no casualties, they said.

“How is a bankrupt socialist country supposed to get the wherewithal to invade and occupy land that is larger than what is presently under their control?”
Wrong.
Israel has weathered the global economic downturn better than the US and Europe with an enviable GDP.
In the past 20 years Israel has moved away from socialism toward a free market economy by privatizing banking and other industries.
See the Heritage report that came out recently:

You are absolutely right it is INCONCEIVABLE that Israel could capture and occupy the Sinai. Never in the history of the world could it happen. The U.S. State Department does not even consider this a remote possibility and the Israelis haven't had this on their list of possible military actions ever since it was turned back over to the Egyptians 30 years ago. I really should check with you from now on and tap into your ability to glance at a map and come to conclusions.
I suppose it’s good (?) to know that our State Department remains consistent with the rest of the government.
‘Until the last muslim is buried the, planet shall suffer.’
Read Behold an Ashen Horse and America Reborn, from Clash-of-Civilizations trilogy by Vista and Lee Boyland.
Novels of what happens after Islamic terrorists nuke 5 American cities (during the reign of a lib president) and the 8th in line for President (because 1-7 were in a nuked city) happens to be a severely patiotic retired General, man named Alexander.
Gist of the thing is that the problem is and has always been Islam. Solution, ban Islam from the face of the planet. Written in 2003, pretty scary scenarios.
Trouble is, we have no Alexander, at the moment.
Shouldn't it say "Bombmen"?
