PVS is nothing more than an excuse used by the culture of death to murder their victims.

The head of trauma thanks me and in a very jovial manner says, In my day, the term for these patients was jellyfish. And he laughs and moves on, he said. What do you do with that?****************************
It's horrifying that a medical professional would express such a callous disregard for human beings.

It's horrifying that a medical professional would express such a callous disregard for human beings. In my experience, "medical professionals" can be THE most horrifying people on the planet.
They can also be the most compassionate.
But it is truly a realm of extremes. And when you find a bad one - they are REALLY bad.

Several studies, one as late as 2009, have found that as many as 41 percent of PVS patients had some level of awareness, and the evidence keeps building. I think people are going to be unpleasantly surprised to find out just high the awareness really is.

Yes, it is horrifying. I used to think disabled people were overstating the problem of discrimination against them. I didn’t believe there could be very many people who had a low regard for disabled people. There’s no logical reason for it. Now I know there are a lot of people who hate disabled people to the point of wanting them tortured to death.

In my experience, "medical professionals" can be THE most horrifying people on the planet. More than most people physicians have a tendency toward developing a god complex and it is often their patients who suffer.

I think people are going to be unpleasantly surprised to find out just high the awareness really is. I know too many FReepers who were there when Terri screamed when she was told that she was going to be murdered, I am certain that she knew exactly what was happening.
The fact that the media when on and on about how "euphoric" being dehydrated to death is convinced me that they also knew she was aware.
An unaware, "brain dead" person CANNOT experience "euphoria" and they DO NOT need morphine for pain.

They make this sound like “new” news.. I was taught in college that we should talk to “comatose” or brain injured people ..keep orienting them ..discuss things when in the room and tell family to watch what they say in the hearing of the patient because we do not know the true level of awareness.. poor terri they hung crape all over her within her hearing

Now I know there are a lot of people who hate disabled people to the point of wanting them tortured to death. There was a show on LifeTime about a woman with some sort of dwarfism, and her efforts to start a family. She mentioned that because the network had featured her in a previous show, she was receiving lots of emails. Most were supportive. Some, unfortunately, were just full of hatred and bile--for instance, telling her that the human race would be better off if she and all people like her would just kill themselves.
There is some true hatred out there for the less than perfect. It's horrifying.

Terri knew what her dad meant when he told her they were out to get her. She was crucified. Thank you, RINOS with dems and cults in tow including Hostage Woodside which is a large global death cult.

I agree with you completely. I was taught the same thing - although nursing school for me was 15 years ago & the death trolls have made lots of inroads since then. I am appalled at how the younger generation (I’m 34) talk about patients at work. THese little 20-somethings have lots to learn. Not only is their attitude callous, but their care of patients & work ethic is severely lacking.
I pray my family members & I all drop dead someday. I never want to be “cared” for by the people I see at work. It’s hellish.

Another clue that a person is not “brain dead” is when they don’t drool, which shows they can swallow, like Terri did.

A lot of med people use morbid humor as a dodge from facing morbid reality every day.
It doesn't mean they are evil. Just scared, as everyone else.
Unless you follow Jesus!!!
