Sarah Palin is no fan of the lamestream media except when shes using it to serve her ends. Is she using Newsweek to get free personal training? And, if so, is that entirely legal?
The former Alaska governor appears on the cover of the new issue of Newsweek wearing a gray sweatshirt with a logo on it reading Edge Fitness. Thats the name of a gym in Palins hometown of Wasilla. Edge Fitness was featured last November in an episode of her TLC show Sarah Palins Alaska, and it also received a plug on a Facebook page Palin apparently created under an alias and used for posting pseudonymous comments.
A Newsweek spokesman says Palin selected her own clothing for the photo shoot; there was no stylist present. It could be that Palin is simply such a big fan of Edges services, she cant resist proselytizing for them. But Palin is known for aggressive monetization of her personal brand and a taste for the material perquisites of Hollywood-style fame. It seems probable, therefore, that shes getting something for her enthusiastic endorsements perhaps free personal training? Ive emailed Palin, directly and via her SarahPAC, but havent heard back. I also havent heard back from Edge Fitness.

She has been known to seek payment from magazines in exchange for her participation in stories.

What a pile of horse dung...
Forbes poppa was supposed to be a homosexual of some kind, right? Could be we have a cluster of these guys ~ protecting each others’ sexual interests.
No one ever asks if the Wookie is personally benefiting every time she goes out in designer clothes—of which the media is always quick to name the designer.
Owww!! It hurts when I band my head on the table repeatedly!!
I meant “bang” my head.
She has kids, one a teen and one 10 and that is when they start loosing common sense. On top of that a little one that may need more love. A house to at least try to keep clean, meals to make, a fishing business, and possibly trying to lauch a political career again.
Picking a shirt is the last thing on the mind of a busy mom or dad.
Good Gosh...
BUT, WAIT, we 'CAN' have a private citizen, who's living
expenses are SUBSIDIZED by the taxpayers do the same thing
with NOOOOOOO problem at all...
Simple explanation for the story...
Any Sarah Palin article gets way over average number of hits. This is just to boost the writer’s ratings.

Newsweak got played. I like it!
Could you even possibly imagine what the lsm would be saying if Sarah showed up in one of mo’s shower curtains? OMG. It would be scathing. I could see words like tacky, unflattering, unattractive, style challenged, and far, far worse. I am being polite. They wouldn’t.
Well, that’s what happens when you band your head repeatedly. It squishes your brain and you forget how to speel.
I thought surely this was another one of those satire posts. Apparently it should have been.
There is a rumor circulating that some companies actually PAID Forbes to insert ADVERTISEMENTS into their supposed “news” magazine in an attempt to get readers to BUY their products. While I admit that FAR fewer businesses are currently doing this than did it in the past, it still calls into question the objectivity of Forbes.
Jeff, nice job in boosting Edge Fitness. Too bad Sarah didn’t pay you for the honors!
Har! You’re sure right about that!
It reads like satire, but sadly, it isn’t. This idiot is serious.
She wore two different outfits for the photo shoot. The other one did not have any logos that I noticed. Newsweek could have easily chosen that one for the cover. Sheesh.
I guess now they need to start checking to see if she’s wearing Levis and Reeboks (or whatever the brand dejour is).
FORBES is no fan of Palin.
What if she happens to choose to work out at ‘Edge Fitness’ in Wasilla when she’s there? Hmmm? Might she just happen to have a workout suit from there? Nothing new. Democrats think this is oh-so-relevant. We in Alaska have heard this before, seen this tactic used against Palin before. Low-ball politics, nothing new.
Isn’t Newsweek the mag that used the photo of Palin in her jogging shorts that they got from a running mag? Maybe the metro’s over at Forbes are offended by a truly strong woman.
