Obama: 'Professional Politicians' Understand Debt Crisis Better Than 'The Public'

At a White House press conference today, President Barack Obama said that "professional politicians" understand the debt crisis better than "the public."

Obama was responding to a question from CBS News Reporter Chip Reid. “The latest CBS News poll showed that only 24 percent of Americans said that you should raise the debt limit to avoid an economic catastrophe," said Reid. "There’s still 69 percent who oppose raising the debt limit. So, is it the problem that you and others have failed to convince the American people that we have a crisis here and how are you going to change that?”

“The Public” understands that you cannot spend more than you have.
“The Public” understands the foolhardy recklessness of paying the interest on one loan, by securing a second loan.
“The Public” is not so stupid to over-spend their income by 44%, then call it a ‘savings’ by only over-spending their income by 40%.

Perhaps you should consider a career in selling shoes; because you haven’t got a clue as to what you are doing.

The public understands that if it does not have the money it does without, and what mac, the liar, daddy understands is if he does not have the money and want something he must raise taxes.

You give you YOUNG child a dollar to buy something and the child UNDERSTANDS he only has a dollar to spend unlike mac, the liar daddies administration, and it’s wiling slaves, who do not have the sense of the CHILD.

They understand debt all right - like from sweetheart loans, campaign contributions from corrupt mortgage brokers and lending institutions, like Fanny Mae, Freddy Mac, Countrywide - does Countrywide ring a bell, Mr. Obama? (Obama received more in campaign contributions from Countrywide than any other member of Congress.)

How about "let's roll the dice one more time" Barney Frank? Yes, yes the public needs to leave this little debt kerfuffle to the professional politicians.
