The Democrats are bluffing. The Ruling Class is bluffing. They are in a panicked hysteria, which itself is the indication of the weakness of their position.

Good call Mr Limbaugh, the Democrats are making the debt ceiling talks so complicating less people understand it and buy into their panic facade, a budget consumes 25% of GDP is bond to fail, as revenues collected are about 18% historically.

And Republicans need to remember to keep it simple stupids! No tax hikes, any debt ceiling increase is minimal, temporary, as only to pay debt till they enact more cuts, at most, and there's 12 Appropriation Bills each year.

Here’s why it’s falling apart:

One out of every nineteen Americans are now collecting Social Security Disability.

That includes gang-bangers, kids with bad tempers, almost anyone with HIV - even if it’s devolved to common cold status...Some start collecting full payments when they’re in their 20’s. Some will collect for 60 to 70 years...

Disability will be destroyed for the people who really are disabled - and Social Security will be destroyed for those who are too old to work. And the promise made to the young still paying into the system will be broken.

All so the “same-old same-old” can work one more scam.

When the system is bankrupt those who are truly disabled and without family will die. Same with the 80 year old grandfathers... Scammers won’t be hurt - they’ll get work or go on to steal from some new victim.

Check out signs in inner city neighborhoods “We’ll FIGHT FOR YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY RIGHTS”... Lawyers take these cases for a cut of ‘the winnings’... It’s not the old, it’s NOT those people who really are disabled who are breaking the system...

All the GOP needs to do is pass a bill that says that if there isn’t enough money, then the President shall pay the national debt first. If the Dems vote against it or Obama vetoes it, then they are voting to default on the national debt, so they wouldn’t dare do it. And if it passes, then there is no pressure to lift the debt ceiling. Just let it be and watch the Dems embarrass themselves when there is no default.

The threat of default is a blunt blackmail. They behave like they would have no money whatsoever unless borrowed. I guess we are not paying taxes weekly and biweekly...

There are funds for essential services - what Government is supposed to do - and for paying existing debt obligations, mandatory by the Constitution. Obama wants to borrow to fund his Government and public sector expansion and threatens a deliberate, on purpose default if not given what he wants - so he will ruin the US economy one way or another!

If Obama chooses default - it's an impeachable offense and let us treat it as such.

"'The GOP's Hezbollah Wing Is Now Fully in Control,' screams The New Republic over a recent lead editorial.

Wait. I just want to make sure I'm clear on this. For The New Republic, Hezbollah is a bad thing, right?

I get mixed up as to when terrorist organizations are bad when they are benevolent Community Organization.

So what’s new about that?

The difference is we have the Tea-Party as leverage back at them.

They will have to decide if the want to be invited to DC parties or still have a job after 2012.

What Republicans need to do is take something Rush said a couple of weeks and go an run with it.

They should bring a bill to The Floor of The House eliminating The National Debt altogether.

And then they can explain why it's necessary to break the debt ceiling right after they explain why it's necessary to have a debt ceiling.

The Speakers sees this now. That’s why he basically gave the finger to the President last night.

The best part is when he said that he’d go along with the V.P.’s deal but not the President’s deal. LOL that has got to sting.

Wouldn’t you just freaking love to be in the WH strategy meetings this afternoon? David Plouffe must be crapping himself today! I would pay good money to see Valerie Jarrett and Daley yelling each other hoarse too.

Matthews, Joan Walsh, Tina Brown calling all these people the "Wahhabis" of the Republican Party.

Wow. I find this Muslim stereo-typing very troubling.

All this ‘blah-blah’ is concerning the progressive income tax system in which less than half of Americans even contribute. I wonder how Mr. David Brooks would feel about a one time 70% tax on accumulated wealth? I’ll bet all those democrat “fat cats” with their off shore accounts, foundations, and non-profits would scream bloody murder!

You know folks, we are lucky to have Rush Limbaugh out there. I and other Conservatives disagree with him at times, but the guy has a loud voice, and people need to be hearing this exact message.

Buchanan was right here. Rush was right to highlight his comments on his show, and embellish.

Good for him.

I should have congratulated Buchanan too. It’s nice to know he can still come up with a good article once in a while.

The WORST is the “Earned Income Tax Credit” a farce that is simply redistribution. It is fostering non-achievement and is counter to what taxes should be...paid equally by all citizens.

Speaker Boehner has just pulled off a major coup in his negotiations with the White House over the debt ceiling. Boehner has successfully gotten an incumbent Democratic President to propose cuts to the Social Security program. Whoever becomes the GOP nominee for president has to be overjoyed with this development because it will mean that the 0bama campaign won't be able to attack the GOP nominee about SS. If 0bama's campaign tries demogoguing the GOP nominee, then all that nominee will have to do is remind everyone that during the debt ceiling talks President 0bama, himself proposed cutting SS.

Cutting Social Security is not going to be considered for quite a few years, but because of Boehner's ploy, it will not be able to be used by the democrats against the Republican Presidential nominee in this election cycle.

If nothing comes from tonight's meeting ( I hope not).

The house needs to pass a bill increasing the debt ceiling and send it to the Senate and then the pressure is on the Democratic Senate and President.

The Dems know that if Obama can't get a deal, he'll wear the economy and unemployment like an albatross around his neck.

He is in a desperate situation and is trying to pretend otherwise.

If our guys don't cave...Obama is TOAST!

Yes, that will be necesary for the House to pass a debt ceiling bill...but it would be better to wait until closer to the August 2nd deadline...the Senate and the president will be more willing to consider it at that time.

Boy if anybody has gotta go it’s the Republican establishment.

Just wait until after the Summer when they start telling us who our nominee is. That’s going to be fun.
