They do it with Christians all the time. Why should Mormons (who are not Christians) be exempt?

And it wasn’t a hit piece, it was asking people about Mormon doctrine a very central doctrine to Mormonism.

Would you consider it mocking if they were to ask if an evangelical believed they were saved by grace? Or that a serial killer could go to heaven if they accepted Jesus on their deathbed?

Ever heard of “two wrongs don’t make a right”?

It was a hit piece because there was no background, no context about those specific points.

If people were asked, “Would you vote for someone who prays to statues”, what reaction do you think they would get?

Romney isn’t running for chief Mormon. Mormonism is being brought up as a way to get him out. Classic Progressive tactic. Saul Alinsky pointed it out.
