If you combine two planks of the democrat party right now (Universal health care and homosexual rights) you have to wonder where the two will end up intersecting if they were to both go the way the democrats wanted.
Homosexuality and other sexual perversions are highly prone to disease and other health issues. With the democrats now in full force trying to promote homsexuality and other sexual perversions to school age children there will come a time when the healthcare system gets overburdened by this.
So if the government was in control of all healthcare as the democrats want then when will the time come when that power is used to bring about great misery to all who have been effected by these actions and health care is denied to those who personal choices resulted in their misery.
Every socialist seeks to create a system whereas great misery is brought to the masses. They seek to bring poverty and misery and hoplessness. They then will throw a bone every now and then to the public and proclaim themselves to be a great defender of the people. It is typical Marxist tactics.
It’s an internet poll, so it is pretty much geared to represent those who are more likely to take internet polls.
AS far as an US amendment, the time to do that was the 90’s. I doubt if it could be done now, but if it is going to happen the sooner the better if the trend on the issue keeps going the way it generally has. The average of the state amendments that have passed is 67%, but most of them passed in the middle of the last decade, I imagine the majority would still pass, and many would pass by a lot, but by a somewhat lower %. There are some that passed in the low 50% range that might not pass now.
As soon as they think they have the numbers, they will howl for the amendment process/popular vote to repeal any pro-marriage amendments/laws. It will be interesting to see what happens to prop.8 if it is upheld by our black robed masters, it only passed by 52% in 2008, if I recall.
Attitudes on abortion have kind of turned around in recent years, so perhaps something like that could happen to “gay marriage”. Also, Arizona failed to pass an amendment and then passed one a few years later. But the general trend in the last 3 or four decades has just been one way, in my opinion.
