I don’t know a lot about these type of devices. Is it put onto/into the car somehow? If so, I guess a vehicle is considered marital property and one person can say yes to having such a device put on it?

Depends on which state, but generally if you're not law enforcement, the RO/registered owner, with your name on the title, you can attach a tracking devise. Or if you own a fleet of vehicles etc, etc...

I can definitely see if you own a fleet of vehicles for a business. You want to know that the person driving the vehicle your company not only purchased but insures is where he or she is suppose to be (not at a bar, for example). Thank you, Dragnet2, I learned something new!
