Arizona anti-illegal immigration lawmaker faces recall

(Reuters) - A citizens' group that opposes the Arizona senate president because of his stance on illegal immigration and other issues has collected enough signatures to force a recall election for him, officials said on Friday.

Republican state Senator Russell Pearce rose to national attention as the chief architect of the state's tough anti-immigration law that was signed into law last year, but has been blocked by the courts.

Maricopa County elections officials certified the group Citizens for a Better Arizona has collected over 10,300 signatures in their effort to force a recall election for Pearce, said Yvonne Reed, a county elections spokeswoman.

The group only was required to collect 7,756 valid signatures under state law, Reed said.

I’ll send the guy $25. He’s a poster child for the rule of law.

Also the triumph of principle over self interest.
This guy may not need the help, but I'd send him a check too.

Anyone have any idea what the other issues are?

I don’t like recall elections. I did not like it when Gray Davis was recalled and I don’t like it here. If someone is elected they should be allowed to finish out their term providing they do nothing illegal.

“There is zero chance he will lose the recall election.”

Not fair and square he shouldn’t lose. But I really worry about voter fraud here, just as I worry about it in ‘12. This recall tactic against conservatives will become more prevalent - it’s being tried in Wisconsin as well.

The Left plays rough and dirty. It IS time for patriots to turn out en masse, and raise hell to get more oversight on these elections.

But the article says the law was “blocked”. I’m confused.

I really don’t think so...t least as it wss. Gilchrest never really came back after the debacle with his board members that I know of. He teamed up with Corsi for awhile, tried to be a politician, and then a kingmaker, but he didn’t quite succeed at that either.

There is zero chance he will lose the recall election. This is just targeted punishment by the rats.

Don't be so sure. Mesa, AZ has a lot of Mormons, and there is mucho talk about them wanting to replace Pearce with a pro-amnesty Mormon Republican, and they may team up with the La Raza forces, as they did in Utah with the "guest worker" bill. The LDS has truly gone to the dark side on immigration.

Return the favor.

Start recall campaigns against Kyrsten Sinema or any of the Reconquista garbage in the legislature.

Arizona is still emerging from the Napolitano disaster. Now's the time to on offense, beat the crap out of the Invasion and Takeover crowd.

Pearce and the patriots need to determine where the group’s financing is coming from.......and who they are communicating with.

Looks to me like “Citizens for a Better Arizona “ got its orders from Mexico /snix.

Citizens for a Better Arizona collected over 10,300 signatures but for a recall only 7,756 valid signatures are required under state law.......

Probably used the same scams they use with the census to fake their numbers.

FR POST: I directly witnessed Hispanics ‘coach’ other Hispanics on what to say to California census takers ..... in order to: (1) inflate Hispanic numbers at the address, (2) to make up names, and, (3) list Hispanics living elsewhere as living at that address. An Hispanic PhD candidate at a research foundation said that it was to gain more budget and representation for Hispanics. That was 19 years ago. I learned later that the this game was occurring in all Hispanic communities throughout the West.

NOTE----Falsifying official documents is a felony. Providing false information to a census taker is a violation of federal and state law.

REFERENCE----Two Census Bureau managers fired for creating at least 10,000 bogus questionnaires
New York Daily News | 6-26-10 | Samuel Goldsmith, Jake Pearson, Michael Mcauliff
FR Posted on Saturday, June 26, 2010 by afraidfortherepublic

Two Census Bureau managers from a Brooklyn field office were fired after their bosses found they faked household surveys the Daily News learned.

=====================================

Keep in mind, the census operation has been fully politicized. The census was co-opted and moved into the WH when Ohaha came in. They are cooking the census books, manipulating the census, turning it into a vote-rigging machine.

Q. So how can the census be turned into a vote-rigging machine?

A. Census Bureau managers create, say 10,000 bogus census questionnaires, in each district. Lists of faked people are kept on file and registered to vote in various precincts. On election day, ringers are bussed in, armed with lists of registered names.....they then use the faked names to vote.

Have to wonder how many signatures belong to illegals ?

My thoughts exactly. I also wonder how many of them are the names of living human beings as opposed to dead people, pets, etc.
