A sad and senseless danged story. My family has personal knowledge of this family. We are sick over it.

I just read about yet another murder and mayhem and wondered why I hadn't seen it posted. Maybe it just came over the wires.
The husband was born in 1975, wife injured in shoulder and ankle, worked at an A&W, people just loved her.
The boys were 11 or 12, 12 or 13, and 17 or 18. The brother who was also killed was 33.
Lived in a very neat trailer. Yes, if that is close to you, it would be a shock. Obviously he had issues, then rather than off himself, meekly surrenders into custody. So sad, not something other family members or people close to the small town would ever get over.

Names and ages of all of the shooting victims were withheld by police pending notification of next of kin.Somehow, in this case, the perfunctory phrase rings kinda hollow.

Prayers for the family and friends of this family. I guess you never really know people fully, do you? There may be issues you weren’t aware of (perhaps medical or psychological). It is very difficult when you know people that go through things like this. Prayers for you as well.

Oh, my gosh!
I have traveled thru Wheatland many times. (Remember the gas wars?)
Such a peaceful town.
May the wounds heal in your community.

Somewhere at the bottom of this they will probably find antidepressants and that the father quit taking them. The only thing that makes me think it could be otherwise is that the father didn’t kill himself too. I wish all these kooks would leave the children out of it, and start by shooting themselves.

My condolences and prayers are with you. We had something like this happen in our circle three years ago, and we're still trying to come to grips with the senselessness of it all. Only G-D has the answers.

Law enforcement officials escort Everett Conant III to the Platte County Detention Center Friday following his initial hearing on four counts of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths of his brother and three sons Thursday night in Wheatland.

My first thought is that this is one of those religious nuts that thought if he killed his kids they would go to heaven under the religious concept of the age of accountability which is: if the kids die before they can make decisions by themselves they automatically go to heaven. The only thing about this case is the kids are getting up their age.
Just for the record I don't believe in this concept that kids go to heaven if they die young, and I do not advocate murdering others.

I can’t imagine how a man could commit so much evil and live with himself. As with Judas, Satan entered into him.
