I guess this new plan is for people who are too lazy to do it themselves.

From Frequently Asked Questions about the Public Debt

How do you make a contribution to reduce the debt?

There are two ways for you to make a contribution to reduce the debt:

In fiscal year 2010 a total of $2,840,466.75 was donated. That's about 0.00002% of the government debt. Woo-hoo, what a windfall.

People who believe they should pay more tax can also simply choose to not take deductions, looholes and credits to reduce their taxable income

Ask the obamas and bidens and reids and pelosis and rahm emmanuels and the daschles and gates and buffet and all other liberals how they did this

Oh, wait

More relevant, what percentage of this year's deficit alone would that cover?

Haven't these naive pollyanas figured out that the elected criminals can always spend it faster than we can provide it?

Including raises to themselves, of course.
