See #22.
Their point may be to counter the Leftist line of “well _we_ need _our_ taxes increased!” by offering trivially easy way for people to pay however much more they think their taxes should go up - and thus prove they’re full of it as nobody will sign up.
Maybe. And, it might turn out to do exactly that. But, I worry that, on the face of it, it's just a stupid thing to put in writing, and an easy way to excoriate the Republicans...just as I did in the earlier post. I can see Screachal Maddow bringing it up tonight on MSNBC...

Have at it, Freeps!
It may well be an attempt at irony, humor, making a point or a legislative tactic, but to the average taxpayer it smacks of unfeeling arrogance.
This has already gone viral, both on the left and on the right.
Conservatives as a whole will end up paying for this stupidity.
With no firm hand in charge of the House Republican majority, this sort of thing inevitably occurs.
More relevant, what percentage of this year's deficit alone would that cover?
Haven't these naive pollyanas figured out that the elected criminals can always spend it faster than we can provide it?
Including raises to themselves, of course.
