If the applicable standard is like a home foreclosure, there is no legal process underway; if the applicable standard is like a vehicle repossession, the repo man is not allowed to trash your personal property left in the vehicle. Neither standard would allow agents of the lender to rip up the borrower's wedding dress, which is an act of pure and pointless malice.
“the repo man is not allowed to trash your personal property”
Like I said in post 119:
Take the guy to the Salvation Army where he can buy a $45.00 used couch, $25.00 on a used sofa, $5.00 on the end tables, $100.00 for a used TV and DVD player and give him a buck fifty for the loss of those sex tapes of he and his wife.
And I am sure they can find a used jumbo sized wedding dress and the local Goodwill store.
In other words, you concede that his property was wrongfully taken, and now you're just haggling over the price. Do you work as a homeowner's insurance adjuster?
