(Reuters) - A Florida judge on Thursday sentenced Casey Anthony to four years in jail for lying to police after her daughter disappeared, but she will be released from custody on July 17 after getting credit for time served and good behavior.
Anthony, 25, will be let out of jail four days later than was previously announced after her release date was recalculated, court spokeswoman Karen Levey said.
Court officials had earlier said Anthony would be released from jail on July 13, having received credit for the 1,043 days she spent behind bars since her arrest.
Anthony was acquitted on Tuesday of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008 but on Thursday received the toughest possible punishment for providing false information to law enforcement during the investigation.
Each of the four misdemeanor counts Casey Anthony was convicted of carried a maximum of one year in jail. Judge Belvin Perry ordered the one-year terms to run consecutively, and also imposed a $1,000 fine for each count.

She's so full of herself that she can't grasp the full meaning of that. Sure, she'll play the "ooooh, people don't like me" bit for the cameras but it'll be nothing more than an act in her mind. One can not go out partying a few nights later if they had any concept of shame or guilt.
There is no other suspect in this murder. I hope she has remorse someday, but narcissists only care about themselves so not likely. VERY sad for the baby.

I don’t think the jury was incompetent from what I read.
The prosecution attempted to tell a complete story of what happened, asking the jury to believe their technical conjecture to fit the very few facts they had.
The prosecution could not convince the jury it knew if the child was murdered or died from some non-violent event.
The prosecution could not establish that Casey Anthony disliked, hated, or thought her daughter to be a burden.
I surely hope that a jury would not convict based on that.
They could have had her locked up for at least 10 years on child neglect if they had not attempted to “go for broke” on the murder prosecution which they more than likely knew they would not be able to prove.
You and I had better hope if we are ever before a judge and 12 of our peers, that our peers are just as analytical of the prosecution.
Like economic policy, you don’t convict on nothing more than a emotional impulse.
