The reason why I clarify the differences between this and real amnesty is because ... while I understand some may want to call it amnesty to increase the outrage over this Obama act (non-enforcement) we all don't like, if we were to press the argument that what Obama is doing IS the same as amnesty, then that COULD be used by amnesty RINOs as a argument for REAL amnesty (aka reform) which would be even worse.Your point is well taken.

That point wasnt directly to you as you pointed out the differences between amnesty and Obama’s non-enforcement as I did. It was to others on the ping list that wondered why they werent the same things.
I did a search of amnesty threads in early 2007 and found that RINOs here regularly used term ‘Sham-nesty (meaning Bush not enforcing immigration laws) as an argument to promote new legal Bush/McCain amnesty laws, seems like stupid logic still. Obviously Obama is using a similar strategy as Bush on this :”If you want it fixed tell congress to pass immigration reform”
