I only just noticed this over the last month or so : Like a memo went out to a big percentage of news sites to force people to use facebook, where before that you just registered on the news sites themselves. (Probably not-I'm sure it's just easier for the news sites, but it seems creepy to me how this change seemed to occur over night.) I hate this. I really don't want to get even an alias facebook account-I guess I'm just going to have to keep my thoughts to myself anywhere except on a (dwindling) number of news sites that don't require a facebook log in.
