Murdoch Folds News Of The World Over Hacking
This Sunday's News Of The World will be the last ever issue of the tabloid, News International chairman James Murdoch has announced.
He said this newspaper would not run any commercial adverts this weekend, adding the advertising space would be donated to causes and charities.

I’ll admit, I haven’t been following this, and News of the World is a pretty bad paper.
But a lot of people were just put out of work, which bothers me. And most of them were probably totally innocent - drivers, printers, etc.
How do we get the New York Times to follow suit?
That didn’t take long I have feeling Murdoch going do that it is bad scandel hacking family phone of fallen UK soldiers that bad for business
That didn’t take long I got original album on vinyl LOL!
NBC was already having a field day salivating over this even before the tabloid folded. Bet they are mad they’ll probably have to lead tonight with Casey Anthony, otherwise it would be this!
I wish I could have posted that. No pics where I am. (In fact, I had to check properties on the light red x to confirm that you posted what I thought.)
When the Daily Mail gets embroiled in a similar scandal, I guess I’ll post lyrics to “Paperback Writer.”
I get BBC world news on Verzion FIOS this was lead story this morning not suprise BBC world news and UK News Corp Hate each other WITH PASSION
In fairness this is the lead story on any and every news channel in the UK at the moment, regardless of affiliation or political bias
In sharp contrast, when the Rathergate scandal broke in early fall 2004 after FR member Buckhead's comment about the authenticity of the Texas ANG memos, CBS News completely denied the scandal until the blogosphere so clearly demonstrated that the memos were completely fake that CBS News finally had to back down--and very reluctantly, I might add! And Dan Rather and Mary Mapes didn't leave CBS News until several months after the scandal broke--and that was after an internal CBS News investigation that clearly showed the problems with that scandal.
Hey question are they totally taking Rupert Murdoch to the woodshed on this
Ray rack that take on that
Yeah I thought CBS news would be taken down for that scandel they got b***slap on that scandel
Absolutely, you sense this is the ‘payback’ moment that pretty much every (non-murdoch) media outlet in the country, europe, even the world has been waiting for.
BBC Question Time is on in just over an hour. It’s a panel show where audience members question important (and not so important!) politicians on the news story of the day. One senses this is going to be a memorable episode!
Now we'll never know what the vicar did to the choirboy.
Keep us update on Question Time
About to start, the panel includes a Govt. minister (David Cameron hired the former NOTW editor Andy Coulson as a spin-doctor)
and a right-leaning radio/television presenter called John Gaunt who used to be a journalist for The Sun...the News Of The World’s sister paper!
These appointments are made weeks in advance so this is all just a happy conicidence, but I can sense there are going to be some awkward questions and red faces coming up!
