Too many in the public have been brainwashed into thinking that any request for security is justified under the “precautionary principle”. This is just an absurdity than can be employed justify any action. We need to insist that pols and officials present evidence of efficacy before making decisions regarding policies and programs. If evidence does not exist, then side by side, small scale trial programs should be undertaken to determine efficacy before we are subjected to one big experiment based on a hunch or a hidden agenda. Just think, if the public reflexively and routinely demanded evidence before Congress enacted programs and policies, our government would be only half its size and more effective.
