I think that you are wrong about Bush and the TSA employees. The bill almost didn’t pass because of Daschles efforts to unionize the TSA. Republicans were willing to scrap the whole thing to prevent the unionization.
As a matter of fact, they didn’t even want such a large permanent force of workers. They wanted a smaller group of employees that could be either moved about as needed or hired as needed for a period of time. They never for saw the security nightmare that we have to go through at each and every airport in the country.
And Max Cleland's support of this (and voting against the Boy Scouts) is what got his ass voted out in Georgia.
>>Republicans were willing to scrap the whole thing to prevent the unionization.<<
And have these experienced Republican legislators done a damn thing to get rid of TSA since it turned out to be a wasteful boondoggle? No, not that I can see. Have they done anything to stop 90 year old Grandmas from being groped? No, not that I can see.
I swear, I do not comprehend the logic behind re-electing legislators who don’t accomplish a damn thing to keep small government.
Polybius is criticizing Cain because he has never governed or been elected to public office. IMO those are disqualifications in most cases. Cain knows how to handle money. Not spend it, earn it. That’s the kind of man I respect.
