truthguy, normally I just ignore stupid posts, but I’m calling you on this one.
If you had to “struggle to find the story,” you can’t read.
I don’t believe for one minute that you went to any of those links, because they took you directly to the story itself. An idiot could find and read about Fast and Furious at all of those links.
You say that you’ve “not read the text of these sites becasue I haven’t had the time.”
I suggest that you are so clouded by prejudice that you aren’t interested in truth. You accuse others of bias, but you are a perfect example of it yourself.
We have ample and legitimate gripes about the news media. In this case, they’re covering the story, and we need give encouragement when it’s due.
That’s the fair, honest, and conservative approach.
But I didn't go to your links. I went to the Home page of CBS news. I went to the Home Page of ABC News. I went to the Washington Post Home page. I had to drill down into the sites to find the stories in question. They didn't make it easy. They were not in the main headline stories on any of these sites. Sure I could have simply followed the links you gave but that's not the normal way someone would find these stories. That's my point. BTW, what did you do anyway, go to each of these sites any type "fast and furious" into their local search engine? Sure you can get the story that way. I'll bet that's what you did.
It's kinda like the Print newspaper which puts an accusation on page 1, Upper Fold and then puts the retraction on Page 28, Column E a few days later. Most people see the Front Page accusation but rarely see the retraction. The MSM is carrying this story but barely. Yes if you scour through each site in great detail you can find the stories. But you missed the whole point, smarta**.
