The 30 round magazine interferes with a low profile prone shot. The Beta magazine would be perfect but costs too much for an old retired whitey.

Yep - pricey, but ultimately a better deal than the 50-round drums. More importantly, the reduced profile actually makes it useful. Had no idea that Beta was making these - thanks for the tip. Have to find some extra-curricular work to buy a couple of these ones.
