McKinley's assassin was tried, convicted and executed in just a little over 6 weeks from September 14.
Today it takes 3 years just to bring an obviously guilty mother to trial for the murder of her daughter. If the mother had been found guilty and sentenced to death, it would have taken another 20 to 30 years to carry out the sentence if in fact it was ever carried out.
What happened over the last 110 years to make our justice system so dysfunctional? Who did this to us?
Damned constitutioalsts. It was those rich white slaveowners 300 years ago. That 9th amendment has got to go along with that pesky 5th. How were the founders sposed to know about the internet and tv.
Here is the problem FRiend. No where near everyone agrees that Casey Anthony is obviously guilty. Not the jury who heard all the evidence. Not many of us who followed the trial to varying degrees.
Not sure that’s a good comparison. If I recall correctly, there were witnesses to the event and he was taken into custody immediately.
I have to wonder what Governor Palin would think about the verdict, and the whole ‘only the dumb ones serve on juries’ meme, since she’s currently on jury duty.
The scary answer is in this thread...
You have three years to figure out which post it is...
By that time most of us will have forgotten most about this case and your jury pool will be ripe for the picking...you will have little trouble at that time to cast doubt on the original claim that the answer is in this thread...
I could also say the answer is in another thread here on Free Republic...And that only makes your job harder to prove...
You have three things to prove now...
What qualifies the timeline of your original question, did the dysfunction actually start 110 years ago, prove that in a court of law...
Define dysfunction??? (and how it applies to the first question)
And...
Who did this to us???
[You are making it hard on yourself...;-)]
