Wasn’t Lightloafered Linsy spooning with Muamar Q just a year or two ago, welcoming him back to the family of man?

"I believe that we're destined to lead the free world," he said. "I don't consider it a burden. I consider it the birthright of all Americans — not only to maintain our freedom, but to help others secure theirs."

I believe that you're an idiot, Lindsey.

Just like one Woodrow Wilson.

"The world must be made safe for democracy."

Psst...he was a Democrat too, just like you.

IMHO, Mr. Khaddafy is perfectly justified in striking back at nations who attacked his country without provocation. He’s not going to invade anyone and he’s certainly not going to undertake a conquest of Europe or a genocide so the ‘Hitler’ comment is utterly ignorant.

I know that Kevin DuJan (from HillBuzz) is persona non grata around here, but he made a good point (from someone who knows): when we elect “republican” homosexuals to Congress, we leave ourselves open to the fact that they are going to be black-mailed (or “african-american-mailed) to do what lefties want them to do when they need it to be done.

We should have kicked out Larry Craig, Grahm and the page boy pervert (whose name escapes me at the moment) before they could be black-mailed/outed when it suited the left’s purpose.

Openly homosexual republicans are (in the absence of anthing better) better than a repub who is a closet turd burgler who can be coerced to do the left’s bidding at any time.

Yeah right. Gaddafi knows if he openly attacked Europe, then he’d be inviting them to colonize Libya again as they take their pound of flesh (and oil) from him. If he continues what he’s doing now and has his son Saif bleating about how NATO is acting illegally and their all racist neo-colonialists, then mission fatigue will eventually cause NATO to splinter.

How did this guy ever get elected in South Carolina? California I could buy, but South Carolina?

"I know we're a war-weary nation, but there is no upside to Gadhafi staying in power," he said. "That is a national security nightmare for this country."

The upside is that the Al-Queda puppets won't be in charge. That would be a National Security "nightmare" ... if someone in the Senate actually gave two bits for our National Security (as evidenced by their 'zeal' to protect our National borders...).

And "war-weary" ... Yeah, killing people and having our troops in harm's way is something we should always save as a last resort... No one has adequately explained the purpose of this "war" (except that we shouldn't be "weary" of it). Sure, Khadaffi is a psycho. But he has seemed to have been effectively neutered since Bush the Younger laid the hammer on Sadam. If we want to go after psychos - it seems like that are others far ahead of the Libyan fashion maven.... Starting with Ill Kim in North Korea.
It'll be hard to convince me that this Libyan adventure is nothing more than an exercise to transfer oil rights to people whom the French and British government felt it would be easier to work with than Khadaffi (...yes, this one really is 'blood for oil')...

Graham added that while the top priority of the U.S. is to balance its budget, he warned that economic prosperity depends on removing dictators like Gadhafi.

uh-huh... Whatever you say, Lindsey...

"There will never will be economic prosperity in America if the world is in the hands of evil people who will make it very difficult for us to travel and trade and do business," he said.

Sounds like he's making a good case to cluster-bomb the TSA (aka, 'evil people who make it very difficult for us to travel...').
I'm behind you on this one Lindsey...

He also said the U.S. needs to warm up to its role as the leader of the free world. "I believe that we're destined to lead the free world," he said. "I don't consider it a burden. I consider it the birthright of all Americans — not only to maintain our freedom, but to help others secure theirs. "The day that America rejects that leadership role is the day we will eventually lose our freedom," he added.

He sure had the cliche-o-meter running full speed on that one...Kick out Ghadaffi and replace him with Al-Queda stooges -- Great Leadership to save our freedom...Thanks Senator... I preferred your TSA idea. Let loose the dogs of war....

I can’t believe the audacity of Ghaddafi threatening retaliation against a nation that’s attacked him!

Senator Graham and Secretary of State Rodham-Clinton, like Reichsmarschall Hermann Wilhelm Göring, are serious about unprovoked aerial bombardment and aggression against a nation and people who were minding their own business.

The Nazi aggressor analog in this utterly arbitrary adventure is not Qaddafi.

Hey, I’m all for smacking the crap out of Q’Daffy and turning him into a cloud of vapor for all the terrorist garbage he sponsored over the years, but who are we going to replace him with?

That’s right, questionable and uncertain opposition who may have far more radical ties and intentions, and backed by people who want to revive the Caliphate. So although the use of military force is certainly justifiable, but is it the wisest course of action?

In my opinion, hell no.

This is truly an analogy of vast historical ignorance. Qaddhafi, dungheap that he is, is unlike Hitler (and the danger posed by him) as: 1) his country is not sited in the middle of Europe; 2) he has a fraction of the 100 million ruled by Hitler; 3) he has no industrial base outside of oil; 4) his territorial ambitions have been limited to idiot border skirmishes with his neighbors; 5) his armed forces are weak, undermanned and with poorly maintained equipment; 6) he has no scientific or inventive base or experts; 7) he hasn’t singled out a particular group for his venom. At least Graham didn’t say something even more surpassingly stupid such as “if we don’t fight them there, they will be in San Francisco”.

Oh, Lindsey.

Gadafi may be serious about blowing up a few bombs, but to compare that to Hitler’s nassive invasions meant to permanently add German territory is your typical silliness.
