I’m just real glad my trash pick up is paid for by me, by choice.

Yeah, we must be a couple of chumps.

Why am I paying hard-earned money to have the garbage man stop by my home once a week to pick up my household trash? I should just be able to bag it up and toss it in the city receptacles for free like this old lady believes she's entitled to do.

Can you imagine what the garbage cans would look like if they didn't enforce the code?
Twenty years ago I was sitting in a DC Metro station when a woman opened up a brown bag and started eating a sandwich.
From across the tracks a Metro employee yells - "Hey, there's NO eating in the Metro!" And right then I understood why the DC subways were so clean.
