Dick Armey has always been considered an old-line libertarian of the Ron Paul mode more than as a conservative. As a trained economist he has understood the virtues of small government, but it is naive to be disappointed because he espouses libertarian views on other issues.

Nope, I'm dissappointed in all fake conservative big 'L' libertarians whether I'm knowledgeable about their political leanings or not.
You can't call yourself a conservative if you eschew limited government issues, secure borders, social conservative issues or a strong military.
You're only partially a conservative, and that is what counts.
