the whole “...or military service” is simply BS! It is a straw man argument!
ALL persons who enlist and serve honorably in the United States military for 4+ years are able to request and receive US Citizenship! This has been the case since the 1970’s!!!
This is basically a way for people who just want to go to college to get the same citizenship path as those who are willing to put their lives on the line - BS!!!!!!

In order to enlist and serve, you must be here legally. Immigrants with a permanent residency status, a green card, can enlist and serve and then receive expedited citizenship. Illegal aliens are prohibited from serving in the US military.
