I actively avoid both airlines.
In '68, I was returning from VN and flew American Airlines from San Fran to Chicago.
The stews treated me terribly, which I've never forgotten.
In the ensuing 40+ years, I've only flown AA once, including 100s of business trips coast to coast. FU AA.
