Look at the reactions just on this board. We’re supposed to be the people who advocate reason (as opposed to the hyper-emotional Left). People are screaming “lynch mob”. I would have rendered this verdict, too (lack of evidence), and I wouldn’t speak to anyone about it either.
Maybe I’m just different — whenever these cases come on TV I never get emotional about them. The state either proves their case or they don’t.

I agree with you. And the fact that all the jurors were in agreement so quickly (including the alternate) says alot.
I wonder if the defense ever requested to plea bargain for a lesser charge and if the prosecution denied it, feeling too sure of themselves?
