There used to be a spray painted sign on our local library warning us that it indicated the new sea level when the global warmed.
(It’s gone now. . .)
Did members of the ALA put it up? And did people that used the library determine that man-made GW is a hoax, and take it down?
“A neighbor, that was an MSW, told me that “cubit” was banned at his place of work because of the “wife beater” association. “
I believe you and of course don’t think less of you for the report, but, I suspect some anti-Christian propaganda at work there.
The reader comments at the Sac Bee site are pretty cool. These environmentalist Nazis’ days are numbered.
“Did members of the ALA put it up? And did people that used the library determine that man-made GW is a hoax, and take it down?”
These things I don’t know. I just saw it there one day and rolled my eyes. I didn’t notice they were selling the building for ten cents on the dollar in advance of the deluge. Which of course, if they really believed their own lies, they’d be doing.
A couple of years later I noticed it was gone, and had a laugh.
You're correct, but I think maybe came to the wrong conclusion on correct info.
Fill your glass 3/4 with water and put in ice whose volume takes up the same space as the empty 3/4 glass. When it melts, the water level would actually be not at the top because water takes up more volume in a frozen state.
HOWEVER, fill your glass 3/4 with water and put in a pile of ice cubes stacked well above the rim of the glass ... when it melts, it overflows the waterglass. The contours of seabed and shore are not like a glass, but like a mud puddle. I know of a guy who could be on a boat halfway between California and Japan, and if you asked him how far away he ever got from land, he'd shrug, "Ah, not much. Four or five miles, usually." And he'd be correct. That's how "shallow" the seas are.
It's all moot anyway, unless you think the world is only a few thousand, or a few hundred thousand, years old. Only on such a young earth could the global warming "theory" be taken seriously. Our earth, God's earth, is billions of years old. One poor dumb kid on the Sac Bee website trying to argue the environmentalists "proof" for global warming, cites "150 year-long climate studies" that document, prove, confirm!!! -- that water levels have risen. One hundred and fifty years is smaller than a nanosecond in terms of useable information for purposes of forecasting any of the gazillion varities of weather changes that have continuously been happening on the planet for thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions, of years. And this kid thinks 150 years of data is going to "confirm" ANYTHING about global climate trends!
It's math. I am confident to the depths of my soul that American men, American boys, who will come to the defense of their freedom, will down deep, from way back, wake up and remember their dinosaur history. Then they'll rise up and smack the environmentalist movement down like a gnat.
After reading through all of the replies so far, I guess I missed the ones that asked exactly HOW people are going to climb 32 feet up to their 1st floor.
Three flights of one story steps??
Noah (excerpt)
by Bill Cosby
There’s fella by the name of Noah
Built an ark
Everybody knows he built an ark.
You see
What Noah do? Well he built an ark
But very few people know about
The conversation that went on between the Lord and Noah
You see Noah was in his rec. room
Sewing away, he was making a few things for the home there.
He was a good carpenter
Whoompa, whoompa, whoompa, whoompa
Noah!
Somebody call?
Whoompa, whoompa, whoompa
Noah!
Who is that?
It’s the Lord, Noah
Right!
Where are ja?
What you want? I’ve been good.
I want you to build an Ark
Right!
Whats an Ark?
Get some wood build it
300 cubits by 80 cubits by 40 cubits
Right!
Whats a cubit?
Somebody finally got it!!!!
“Whats a cubit?”
1.572 feet is an Ancient Roman cubit.
1.5 feet is a Biblical cubit.
