Obama needs a running mate who will boost his chances of re-election; I suspect that the majority of Democrats do not want to be tied to a sinking ship. Obama’s chances of being re-elected are low.
This will be interesting to watch - who will be stupid enough, or ambitious enough, to ignore what is so obvious to most observers.
