Although wearing a seat belt while driving an automobile is mandatory here in Pennsylvania, I have always buckled up and insist that any passenger do the same.

It is a shame this man died. The laws of physics can be very unforgiving.

I ride most times without a helmet, same goes with seatbelts.

When conditions deteriorate, I usually put on a helmet or buckle my safety belt.

It should be my decision, not the states decision.

It's a slippery slope to allow the government to mandate all the dos and don’ts in life. There are some exceptions that come to mind, these have to do with your personal actions infringing on other persons liberties.

One such case is driving while intoxicated.
