The senario listed above is a dream come true for me. Ruth Bader Ginsburg being replaced by a Republican President who defeats Barack Obama would make me and many others want to break out the champagne.
This may also indicate that liberals are trying to gently nudge Ginsburg to retire this year so that Obama can appoint her successor.

I would encourage leftists to not worry one bit. When she is ready to retire, and only ginsburg knows for sure, President Palin will surely consider Ginsburg's leanings, and not go too much overboard with that originalist thingy.

Don't be surprised if some dem pushes her down the stairs, lol.
That said, while she has been a reliable left winger, dems have never been happy with the fact, that she is also the dumbest of the left wingers on the court.
Basically, they want her to vote the way she votes, but keep her mouth shut, lest she (continue) to embarrass herself.
Sidenote: Her closest friend on the court happens to be Scalia.....go figure.

The Democrats can only dream that Ginsburg's body does not hold out a bit longer, or that Sotomayor's bones don't crumble (from 50 years of insulin use, much of it back in the day when it was not all that "pure"), or that Kagan doesn't find herself in prison for false testimony before the Senate at her confirmation hearings.
That'd give Obama a chance to appoint 3 new, quite younger, equally Stalinist, Justices.
Of course the Democrats are running out of Leftwingtards who actually want to be on the Supreme Court!
All of these things will come to pass the day after the next Presidential inauguration ~ when a Republican looks around to appoint their replacement, as well as Justice Kennedy's and that Breyer guy might just leave anyway if he has to work with 8 Conservatives.

The new Republican president appoints Ginsburg's successor, cementing conservative domination of the court,
Wishful thinking. Too many of the Grahams and cohorts who want balance on the Court are still in the Senate.

I’m only 55 ... every day above ground is a gift.
Everyday is a potential game changer with the Supreme Court

think they are indispensable and ONLY they can handle that job...
just like the two brain injured Congress members, why give up the great perks...

hurry up 2012

Here’s another aspect of the Supreme Court drama. DemocRATS sound like they’re nervous.

Hmmmmmm...what started this talk?
If I was Ruth Buzzi, I'd start paying someone to taste my food and drink for me. And she may not want to schedule any midnight picnics in Ft. Marcy Park.
Usually, what Urkel wants, Urkel gets.

Good, I hope she hangs on until Obama is out of office.
To: Clintonfatigued
After 0bama is defeated in 2012, she will retire in favor of a lame duck appointment.
