The TX Legislature meets for 140 days every 2 years. Perry called them back into a special session to address "Sanctuary Cities. The Senate did a "take it or leave it bill" and left it on the House's desk and adjourned. The House leadership was pissed at the Senate's posture and they laughed at the representative pushing it in the House and adjourned too. What do you propose Perry was supposed to do then?
Your misleading here. The Special session had seveal agenda items. To me, Perry feigned support for SC bill, otherwise he and Dewhurst would have cooridinated it better. Again, he blew it.

My brother is a lib so I usually ignore what he says, but his wife is a conservative and she agreed. My brother also said that the Texas governor has little power (?), not sure what he is talking about as it does not sound so with the posts I am reading.
