It may well be true, given that DSK is released on his own cognisance it probably is true, but on the other hand it was expected that the defence would throw this kind of dirt around, whether true or not.

Let us wait and see until the trial finishes.

Certainly with her credibility compromised, the prosecution has its work cut out. But, as I understand it, her credibility issues arise from her immigration status, association with unsavory characters and purportedly drug dealings. It is possible that while she is not pure as the driven snow, the rape also took place.

Her being a prostitute may be a stretch if, as was written in the early days of this soap opera, she lives in public housing specially set aside for HIV/AIDS sufferers. Also, over the past weeks there have been several revelations about DSK’s escapades, but I haven’t read of any ‘clients’ of the woman having stepped forward (but who would?). I also can’t reconcile the idea of rich, powerful men staying in $3500/night hotel suites not ordering up the city’s best prostitutes if they’re after pay-for sex. It just doesn’t add up, but none of this makes much sense. The evidence is that there was sex, now its nature is an open question.

Typical Clintonian Deny... Delay... Destroy tactic.

Worked beautifully, for the Bent One.
