It’s funny isn’t it? The Judge won’t allow the layoffs and yet the County or town cannot pay the police. Will they work for nothing or will the Judge next order the local government to raise taxes?
Oh if it has not occurred already I think we will in fact see judges begin to order local governments perhaps even state governments to raise taxes. No layoffs, no reductions of expenditures, just raise taxes.
