FULL TITLE: Saddam Hussein's torture doctor has been working in British hospitals for SEVEN years, immigration scandal reveals
A doctor involved in horrific torture by Saddam Husseins henchmen is working in British hospitals.
In an astonishing immigration scandal, border officials have allowed the suspected war criminal to treat thousands of British patients.
Dr Mohammed Kassim Al-Byati was given a permit to work as a doctor in the NHS by the Labour government in 2004.
Checks failed to uncover his history of working for the notorious Iraqi Intelligence Agency, which ran the country in a reign of terror during the Saddam years.
His job was to patch up torture victims so that they could be subjected to more appalling treatment. In 2007, Al-Byati contacted the Home Office to confess to his horrific past so that he could claim asylum.
But, incredibly, this did not prevent him from carrying on earning tens of thousands of pounds working at a hospital in Wales.
Even now, despite his file being referred to a specialist war crimes unit, he remains cleared by the General Medical Council, and has been working in the West Midlands.

I presume it would have been a higher moral calling to REFUSE to patch them up?
In an astonishing immigration scandal, border officials have allowed the suspected war criminal to treat thousands of British patients.David Cameron's taking heat for stuff that Labour did during its long grip on power.
Britain’s NHS is the equivalent in performance to our TSA. Several Muslim doctors from Pakistan were arrested for the bombing at Heathrow airport. Muslim doctors should not be allowed to practice in the West for obvious reasons.
Probably so Saddam and his evil henchmen could torture the victim some more. The allegations of war crimes probably relate to his overall involvement in the activity. Like the getaway driver in a bank robbery, who could be said to be helping to end the chance of violence at the bank by taking the armed robbers away from their victims, and avoiding the chance of a hostage situation or a shoot out at the bank, regardless of what the guy did that may have been a good act at the moment (or not) he was overall involved in a terribly evil and wrong set of actions.
The doctor himself may not have had a choice as to whether or not to participate, but that is another issue.
Oh come on. These things happen when you have national health care. Gotta get doctors from some where. Who in their right mind would choose to be a doctor in a gov’t funded and run health care system. It only attracts the second tier and worse lazy people.
That’ what happens when you socialize medicine — you scrounge the bottom of the barrel to find doctors

Hey good help is hard to get so you take what you can, especially when you are trying to reduce the population of sick people!
Sarc/off
I think a better way to put it would be that Camerons government is taking the heat for discovering the failures of the former Labour government.
The left, causing most of the death and destruction on the entire planet, always needs a scapegoat. They blame the right for all their perfidy, and since they’re in charge of the schools and the mainly slime media, their dupes believe them in lockstep.
We have a long row to hoe.
