A fence isn't the answer.

Typical Perry bullcrap you have been spreading. A fence by itself isn't the answer. But it is an integral part of security in-depth, which is why ANY secure institution has one.

A fence with fast response units on patrol roads built parallel to the fence is a very big answer to illegal immigration from Mexico. A fence is no good unless it has sensors and a patrol road like the Israeli fence. And a see through fence is better than a wall. And continuous pyramids of rolled razor wire as seen in the image below.
