Perhaps, if Gov. Perry would have spent some time in Austin during the Special Session and not been in New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans, he could have lobbied members of the Texas House and Senate to pass the ban on sanctuary cities.
However, Perry elected to be out of town when Texas needed him in Austin.
