Perry is not perfect, but he’s pretty damn conservative on most issues. He certainly has a couple bad issues, but so will anyone running. If we picked apart Reagan’s governorship, we’d see the same thing.

Bottom line is that Perry is better than anyone in the current field to run against Obama. He has a long successful track record as governor of a state that has excelled will most others failed. He’s been a real friend to the tea party, reaching out in ways most established officials have not. He needs to commit further to conservative leaders during the campaign and as President to make me happy, but he is the perfect foil to a failed Obama. I hope he gets in, and if he does...and performs well, he is likely to earn my vote. I like executive experience, and I like proven results, and he brings both of those. After watching the latest chapter of childish Obama behavior yesterday in the press conference, we need to destroy this man and his movement next year, and many voters will be easily swayed by logic and facts, and the Texas economy is by far the most healthy in the nation right now. He may be the only one to easily pull voters from Romney because he has all the positives of Romney w/o the negatives.

Yep, Reagan signed a bill allowing no-fault divorces in Califronia—a movement which has decimated the nation since it was signed into law. He’s not perfect, but he’s the best we’ve seen in ages.

I’m keeping an open-mind to Perry.

He may be conservative compared to the dreck that we get up here in Massachusetts but he should be a lot more conservative for a state like Texas where the people would really back him up if he went to the mat for real conservative issues like illegal immigration.

I use illegal immigration as a kind of litmus test because, for the ten years that I have been looking into the problem, I have found that illegal immigration is a look at what is wrong and crooked with American politics. Illegal immigration is about three presidents lying to the people, (that includes George W. Bush), Democrats and Republicans fighting over votes and corrupt Chamber of Commerce types selling out their country for cheap labor. It is not a pretty picture. Most of the corrupt people in this country can seem like really respectable, “pillars-of-the-comunity” types. That is why our country is so mixed up. It is not just the Rod Blagoyevich types that are ruining the country, it is many distinguished looking, well- spoken, “gentlemanly” types who don’t look like they would be corrupt. We are surrounded by lies, lies, lies.
