This NASCO Highway is proposed to facilitate the moving of Chinese goods from the Mexican ports, through Mexican highways and through Texas and other states going up to Canada. This was done in a stealth way because it is in effect a federal highway since it links many states but in order to avoid congressional oversight, they decided to build the highway piecemeal—one state at a time. Texas would build its part right up to the Oklahoma border, then Oklahoma would build its part etc. etc. eventually going to the Canadian border. Mexican trucks would not have to stop at the border as they would have the new radio technology devices that would check them through.
Remember that there was a time about fifteen years ago when we would not have thought it possible that most of the items in the stores would have “made in China” on them. Nor did we believe that many American factories would be closed to Chinese labor competition, but it happened. It took lots of people, with lots of money and pull working together to achieve this. It appears that these same powerful business interests are also behind this. As far as paying off people, how many people do you suppose had to be paid off before NAFTA and the Chinese trade deals? Many if not most politicians are paid off in one way or another. They just do it in legal ways—honest graft.
With all due respect let's not chase rabbits but stick to the subject which was "stealth way". If you'll read back, you'll see that you never really answered "how" it was done in a "stealth way"(which was my question) but that it just "was".
That's the problem I have with people who post and defend what (to me) are "conspiracies". They never explain the "how", just that "it is".
Why would for example some state like Kansas spend the money to build a "super corridor"? How would that benefit them? Do they have a horrific traffic problem? Why would any state spend billions of state treasure for the benefit of some Chinese goods and Mexican truckers. And wouldn't all those states have to coordinate those plans? How could that possibly be done in a "stealth way"? Sorry but it's just not logical to me and therefore I reject it.
